Nawgati Selected for Google Startup Accelerator Program
India-based fuel-tech platform joins 20-company cohort focused on AI-driven mobile applications, representing mobility sector in three-month initiative.
Nawgati, a fuel technology platform, has been accepted into Google for Startups Accelerator: Apps program alongside 19 other Indian startups. The company is the sole mobility-focused participant in the cohort, which concentrates on artificial intelligence-driven mobile application development.
The three-month program will provide Nawgati with mentorship from Google teams specializing in AI, product development, user experience, business growth, and leadership strategy. The selection represents one of 20 positions available to Indian startups in the current accelerator cycle.
"This opportunity will accelerate our technological evolution and sharpen our ability to create value for fuel station owners, fleet operators, and everyday consumers," said Vaibhav Kaushik, CEO and co-founder of Nawgati.
Nawgati operates a mobile application that provides real-time information about fuel stations, including location data and route-based recommendations.
The platform uses AI to help users locate fuel stations and reduce wait times during refueling stops. The app currently serves drivers and two-wheeler riders across India.
The company has received backing from several institutions, including GAIL (India) Ltd., MeitY Startup Hub, the Department of Science and Technology, All In Capital, and private investors Ajay Upadhyaya and the Deepak Bhagnani Family office.
Nawgati describes itself as India's first fuel-tech platform, working with fuel companies and fleet operators to streamline refueling operations. The company aims to improve fuel station management and enhance the refueling process through technology integration.
The Google for Startups Accelerator: Apps program focuses on supporting startups developing AI-enhanced mobile applications, providing participants with access to Google's technical expertise and business development resources.
