Mobility Solutions Limited (MSL), a JCBL Group company, has expanded its manufacturing facility in Batauli, Punjab, to provide advanced composites solutions across multiple industries including defense, aerospace, infrastructure, railways and automotive sectors. The 41,700-square-meter facility, with 12,000 square meters of covered area, began commercial production in December 2024 and is expected to reach full operational capacity by July 2025.
The expansion extends the company's capabilities beyond Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) manufacturing to a wider range of composite solutions. The upgraded facility currently employs over 150 personnel and is strategically located near other JCBL Group manufacturing hubs with access to skilled labor and transportation networks.
R.G. Arora, Managing Director of Mobility Solutions Limited, described the expansion as "a significant leap forward in delivering cutting-edge composite solutions for high-tech products across industries."
The facility aims to establish a Centre of Excellence that integrates research and development, tooling, prototyping, manufacturing, and testing. MSL plans to triple its production capacity to meet increasing domestic and international demand while implementing environmental initiatives including renewable energy systems, water conservation techniques, and waste reduction programs.
MSL was founded in 1998 as an ancillary for manufacturing sub-assemblies including seats, windows, bus components, and FRP/GRP parts. The company has since expanded to develop components for rolling stock such as front masks, interior paneling, seats, window frames, underframes, side walls, and roof panels. MSL also manufactures products for industrial and agricultural sectors.
The JCBL Group, established in 1989, has grown into a $206.02 million conglomerate with businesses across mobility applications, defense, railway and bus components, agriculture, finance, and international business. The group has partnerships with global brands including Daimler, Toyota, and Harley-Davidson.
