MS Dhoni and Shraddha Kapoor are among the celebrities on Tracxn's list of notable investors in Indian startups who have participated in funding rounds involving electric-vehicle companies. Sachin Tendulkar, meanwhile, has participated in five disclosed funding rounds of used-car platform Spinny.
Tracxn’s data, covering disclosed funding rounds involving 10 celebrity investors between January 2021 and 2026 YTD, shows Dhoni with one EV investment and Kapoor with two. Tendulkar has six disclosed startup investment rounds in total, five of them in Spinny, an auto e-commerce and content company.
MS Dhoni’s Investment In EV Startup Motorai
The E Motorad investment was one of Dhoni’s six disclosed startup funding rounds during the period. His other investments listed by Tracxn were in solar energy, drones, fitness and wellness, food tech and OTT video companies.
Shraddha Kapoor’s Two EV Investments In Chargeup
The two Chargeup transactions account for two of Kapoor’s five disclosed startup investment rounds in the period. Her other listed investments were in fashion technology, nutraceuticals and K-12 education technology.
Sachin Tendulkar Invested In Spinny Across Five Rounds
Tracxn classifies Spinny under Auto E-Commerce & Content, and it is the only unicorn among the 34 startups covered in the list. Tendulkar’s sixth disclosed investment was an $8 million Series A round in apparel company XYXX in June 2021.
