Montra electric showcases Super auto and Rhino EV truck at SIAM green plate rally
Montra Electric participated in the second SIAM Green Plate EV Rally, featuring its Rhino 5536e electric heavy-duty truck and Super Auto three-wheeler.
Montra Electric, part of the Murugappa Group, presented its electric heavy-duty truck, Rhino 5536e, and the passenger three-wheeler Super Auto at the second SIAM Green Plate EV Rally.
Organised by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the event promoted electrification in Indian mobility, with Montra Electric's vehicles demonstrating sustainable transportation.
The rally, held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, was flagged off by HD Kumaraswamy, Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel. Montra Electric’s participation underscored its role in advancing electric mobility, aligning with SIAM's initiative to promote the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in India.
Montra Electric’s display of the Super Auto in tri-color represented India's progress toward greener transportation solutions. The event emphasised the importance of EVs in reducing dependence on fossil fuels and advancing sustainable mobility. Montra Electric aims to continue its innovation in eco-friendly vehicles, contributing to the country’s efforts in electrification.
Montra Electric, a part of TI Clean Mobility Pvt Ltd, focuses on providing electric mobility solutions. The company has entered the three-wheeler electric mobility market and is expanding into other categories, including small and heavy commercial vehicles and tractors.
The Murugappa Group, with a history spanning 124 years, operates across various sectors such as agriculture, engineering, and financial services, with a workforce of over 83,500 employees.
