M&M's domestic truck sales surge 77% YoY in July even as other segments decline 

The sales of vehicles in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) category weighing less than 2 tonnes slid by 11% to 3036 units in July  2024, compared to 3400 units in July  2023.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), the Mumbai-based automotive major,  reported a significant jump in the LCV category weighing more than 3.5 tonnes, including medium and heavy commercial vehicles (MHCV), with a 77% increase to 3136 units in July 2024, compared to 1775 units in July 2023. 
 
According to the data provided by M&M, however, the sales of vehicles in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) category weighing less than 2 tonnes slid by 11% to 3036 units in July  2024, compared to 3400 units in July  2023.
 
Similarly, there was a negative growth trend observed in the LCV category, weighing between 2 and 3.5 tonnes. Sales in this category reported a 14% drop to 13,541 units in July  2024, compared to 15,723 units in July 2023.
 
The three-wheelers including the electric version, witnessed a 45% drop to 3593 units in July 2024 as against 6481 units in July 2023.
