MINI India today launched the Cooper S Victory Edition in the country, debuting the car at Sanghi Classic, a newly opened MINI dealership in Jaipur. The car is priced at ₹57,50,000 (ex-showroom) and is available as a completely built-up unit (CBU). Bookings are open across all authorized MINI India dealerships, with deliveries beginning immediately.
The edition draws its name from the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally, where Finnish driver Timo Mäkinen and co-driver Paul Easter won in a Mini Cooper S carrying race number 52.
The car is powered by a MINI TwinPower Turbo petrol engine producing 150 kW (204 hp) at 5,000–6,500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque between 1,450 and 4,500 rpm. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and has a top speed of 242 km/h. Transmission is a 7-speed dual-clutch Steptronic Sport unit.
The car is finished in Chilli Red paintwork, with a white trim stripe running from the bonnet to the roof and rear. A "52" graphic, referencing the original race car's number, appears on both sides. A "1965" sticker is placed on the C-pillar. The roof is a black panoramic unit. Standard wheels are 18-inch alloy in JCW Lap Spoke 2-tone design.
Door sills carry "1965" lettering on a red and black background. Each unit features text on the interior of the door referencing details of the original rally. The steering wheel, center console storage box, and key cap each carry "1965" markings. Seating is JCW Sport Seats in Vescin Black — a perforated material made from recycled materials. The dashboard and door panels are chrome-free and leather-free, lined with recycled 2D knitted fabric.
The centerpiece of the dashboard is a 240mm circular OLED touchscreen running MINI Operating System 9, which supports touchscreen and voice control. The voice assistant is activated with the phrase "Hey MINI." Other technology includes a head-up display, MINI Digital Key Plus via the MINI App, a Fisheye Camera with QR code sharing, Harman Kardon audio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and remote software upgrade capability.
Standard safety equipment includes front and side curtain airbags, ABS, Dynamic Stability Control, Brake Assist, Cornering Brake Control, a rear-view camera, and tyre pressure monitoring. Cruise control and a parking assistant are also included.
The car comes with a two-year unlimited-kilometre warranty and two years of 24x7 roadside assistance, both transferable to subsequent owners. A service plan is available starting from 3 years or 40,000 km, extendable to 10 years or 1,00,000 km. Warranty can also be extended from the third year of ownership up to a maximum of ten years.
Financing is available through BMW India Financial Services, including an assured buyback option of up to five years and EMIs the company states are up to 40% lower than standard bank loan rates.
