Mini India has launched the Countryman JCW All4 at Rs 64.90 lakh (ex-showroom) which is the first internal combustion-powered variant of the new-generation Countryman to Indian shores. This comes after the market launch of the all-electric Countryman Electric, which went on sale here in July 2024. Bookings for the performance-oriented SUV from Mini commenced on September 22, and the model has now become Mini’s flagship ICE offering in India, sitting above the Cooper S and alongside the Countryman EV SUV

Performance: 300hp, AWD and 5.4s 0–100kph

Under the hood, the 2025 Mini Countryman JCW All4 packs a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine churning out 300hp and 400Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and sends power to all four wheels via Mini’s All4 all-wheel-drive. Mini claims the JCW All4 can sprint from 0–100kph in 5.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 250kph. Despite its strong performance, it boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 15.4kpl.

This powertrain setup makes it the most powerful Mini on sale in India today, effectively giving enthusiasts a compact alternative to the Volkswagen Golf GTI and other hot hatchbacks that blend practicality with punch. An adaptive suspension setup comes standard, allowing the crossover to switch seamlessly between comfort and sportier driving characteristics.

Design: JCW Identity Turned Up a Notch
In traditional John Cooper Works (JCW) fashion, the Countryman All4 gets distinctive styling elements that instantly set it apart from the standard SUV. The blackened grille now wears a chequered pattern, while the front bumper has been reprofiled for a more aggressive look.

Signature JCW red accents can be found on the roof, mirrors, brake calipers, and bumpers, reinforcing the sporty DNA. The car rides on 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, and subtle JCW badging appears on the C-pillars.

At the rear, Mini has added a larger roof spoiler, blacked-out ‘COUNTRYMAN’ lettering, and a quad-exhaust setup, all contributing to the car’s athletic stance. Buyers can choose between British Racing Green, Legend Grey, and Midnight Black exterior shades, with roof and ORVMs available in either red or black.

Cabin and Features: Premium Yet Playful
Inside, the Countryman JCW continues Mini’s driver-focused theme but adds sport-inspired touches. The cabin is finished in black upholstery with red contrast stitching, while ambient lighting further highlights the JCW colour scheme. The centrepiece of the cabin is a 9.4-inch circular OLED infotainment display, running Mini’s new OS and featuring JCW-specific graphics and themes. The digital instrument cluster complements the minimalist yet tech-forward dashboard layout.

Equipment on the Countrman JCW include a Harman Kardon surround sound system, panoramic glass roof, heads-up display, powered front seats, automatic climate control, wireless charger, powered tailgate, and auto park assist. Mini has ensured that the JCW retains its signature blend of luxury and playfulness — with an unmistakable performance edge.

Sold in India as a full import
The Countryman JCW All4 is brought to India via the CBU route, which explains its premium pricing. Yet, its combination of performance, style, and exclusivity positions it uniquely in a niche space between luxury crossovers and hot hatches.
