Michelin Opens Three Stores in Tamil Nadu
The company partnered with Covai Tyres, Carzone, and Carworld Automotive to launch facilities in Coimbatore and Tirupur.
Michelin inaugurated three Michelin Tyres & Services (MTS) stores in Tamil Nadu as part of its network expansion across India. The company opened two stores in Coimbatore through partnerships with Covai Tyres and Carzone, and one in Tirupur with Carworld Automotive. Prashant Sharma, National Sales Director at Michelin India, inaugurated the facilities.
The three stores offer Michelin's complete range of premium products, advanced diagnostic tools, and high-precision equipment for alignment, balancing, and car services.
Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director, Michelin India said, "The opening of three new Michelin Tyres & Services Stores in Tamil Nadu reflects our continued investment in expanding our retail network and strengthening consumer access to our products and services. These new touchpoints align with our broader strategy as we prepare to introduce our Made-in-India passenger car tyre range, ensuring we are well positioned to serve the evolving needs of our consumers."
Covai Tyres in Sundarapuram, opposite Titan Paints, has been a Michelin partner for over a decade and operates a service network of 18 outlets. The new store features modern infrastructure and advanced services. Carzone is located opposite ITI College in Goundermills, Coimbatore, and includes amenities such as a customer lounge. Carworld Automotive in Tirupur is located on Palladam Road opposite Abirami TVS.
Tamil Nadu is a key market for Michelin, supported by the company's production facility in Chennai. The company operates in 175 countries and employs 129,800 people globally. Headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, France, Michelin has been manufacturing engineered materials for over 130 years and serves sectors including mobility, construction, aeronautics, low-carbon energies, and healthcare.
