Michelin has opened its first Experience Store in India, establishing the facility in Nashik through a partnership with local dealer Bharat Tyres. The store, located in Adgaon on the Mumbai-Agra highway, opened on July 12, 2025, and spans over 25,000 square feet.
The facility represents Michelin's largest retail outlet in India and offers comprehensive tyre services alongside car care solutions. Services include tyre installation, wheel alignment, balancing, puncture repair, car detailing, and PPF coating. The store also provides parking and service areas for both cars and trucks.
Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director of Michelin India, stated that the store aims to provide customers with an immersive brand experience beyond traditional tyre retail. The facility features a Michelin Wall displaying the company's history, a Heritage Wall celebrating both Michelin and Bharat Tyres' backgrounds, and a Display Zone showcasing innovations in electric mobility and environmental responsibility.
Bharat Tyres, led by Gejoe Thomas, has operated in the automotive aftermarket for nearly five decades. The company has expanded from tyre services to comprehensive car care solutions and distribution of international tyre brands. This marks their second facility in Nashik.
The store incorporates sustainability measures, including a reverse osmosis water system for car washing to reduce water waste. A customer lounge and trained personnel complete the facility's offerings.
Michelin selected Nashik due to its position as a transportation hub with growing premium vehicle ownership. The company views the location as strategically important for strengthening its presence in India's western region.
Founded in 1889, Michelin operates in 175 countries and employs 129,800 people globally. The French company, headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, manufactures tyres and components for various sectors including mobility, construction, aeronautics, and healthcare.
