Michelin India Opens Tyres & Services Store in Vijayawada in Partnership with Sanghvi Car Shoppe
Located on MG Road, the new outlet expands Michelin’s retail footprint in South India, offering tyre services and diagnostics to meet the growing demand from Vijayawada’s evolving automotive market.
Michelin India has announced the launch of its first Michelin Tyres & Services store in Vijayawada, in partnership with Sanghvi Car Shoppe. This addition strengthens the brand’s presence in Southern India, following recent store launches in Kochi and Bengaluru. With this, Michelin now operates over 15 touchpoints across the three cities.
The new facility spans more than 3,000 square feet and is located on MG Road in Chandra Mouli Puram, Sriram Nagar. It is equipped with infrastructure and tools to provide services such as tyre fitment, road force wheel balancing, and advanced alignment systems.
The store was inaugurated by Prashant Sharma, National Sales Manager at Michelin India, along with the Sanghvi Car Shoppe team.
Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director of Michelin India, stated that Southern India remains an important market for the company due to its expanding customer base. He noted that the Vijayawada store will bring Michelin’s products and services closer to local consumers and that the collaboration with Sanghvi Car Shoppe is expected to enhance service quality.
Sanghvi Car Shoppe is known in Andhra Pradesh for its range of offerings in tyres, accessories, and car electronics, and has built a reputation in the region’s premium car care segment.
Vijayawada has witnessed a rise in premium and luxury vehicle ownership in recent years, influenced by urbanisation and growing income levels. Michelin aims to meet this demand through improved service accessibility and regional partnerships.
