Michelin Expands Retail Network in Hyderabad with Two New Stores
The global tyre manufacturer has partnered with local dealers to open outlets in Banjara Hills and Kollur Village, bringing its total presence in the city to five locations.
Michelin has opened two new Michelin Tyres & Services Stores in Hyderabad, expanding its retail footprint in the southern Indian city. The outlets, located in Banjara Hills and Kollur Village, were launched through partnerships with Ashoka Wheels and 4 Wheelz & Tyres respectively.
The expansion increases Michelin's store count in Hyderabad to five, reflecting the company's strategy to strengthen its presence in key Indian markets. The new facilities offer the company's premium tyre range alongside specialized services including wheel alignment, road force balancing, and tyre fitment.
Prashant Sharma, National Sales Manager at Michelin India, inaugurated both stores on Monday.
Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director of Michelin India, highlighted Hyderabad's growing automotive market as a key factor in the expansion decision. The city's increasing number of luxury and premium vehicle owners, combined with its established service infrastructure, presents significant opportunities for the tyre manufacturer.
The launch coincides with Michelin's enhanced manufacturing operations in India, including a passenger car tyre production facility in Chennai. The company recently introduced its first India-manufactured premium passenger car tyres.
Both new stores provide Michelin's complete product portfolio, designed to serve luxury and performance vehicle segments with an emphasis on safety, durability, and performance characteristics.
Michelin, headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, France, operates in 175 countries and employs 129,800 people globally. The company has been manufacturing engineered materials for over 130 years.
