Michelin India has expanded its retail network in North India with the opening of two new Michelin Tyres & Services (MTS) stores in Amritsar and Panchkula. The outlets have been established in partnership with National Auto and Universal Tyres, respectively, as part of the company's strategy to strengthen its presence in the region.

Located on Loharka Road in Amritsar and in the Industrial Area of Panchkula, each outlet spans 5,000 sq. ft. and offers Michelin's range of passenger car and two-wheeler tyres, including the Primacy, Pilot Sport, Latitude Sport and LTX Trail series. The facilities also provide services such as wheel alignment, wheel balancing, mechanical repairs and maintenance.

The company said the expansion comes as North India continues to witness rising vehicle ownership, infrastructure development and increasing demand for premium mobility products. Michelin also stated that it is preparing to introduce passenger car tyres manufactured in India.

"North India continues to be a key market in Michelin's growth journey, supported by rising vehicle ownership, improving road infrastructure, and growing demand for premium mobility solutions. As we prepare to introduce Made-in-India passenger car tyres, we remain focused on delivering solutions tailored to the evolving needs of Indian consumers," said Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director, Michelin India.

Michelin said it partnered with National Auto, an Amritsar-based automotive business established in 1927, and Universal Tyres, which has over three decades of experience in the tyre business, to support its retail expansion in the two cities. The company added that the collaborations are aimed at expanding access to its products and after-sales services through established local partners.
