MIC Electronics Wins ₹1.76 Crore Indian Railways Contracts

Electronics company secures deals to upgrade passenger information systems at eight stations and supply emergency lighting for train coaches across two divisions.

MIC Electronics Wins ₹1.76 Crore Indian Railways Contracts

MIC Electronics Limited has been awarded contracts worth ₹1.76 crore by Indian Railways to modernize passenger amenities and safety systems. The Hyderabad-based company will work on projects spanning multiple railway divisions over the next nine months.

The Sambalpur Division of East Coast Railway has contracted MIC Electronics to upgrade passenger information systems at eight Amrit Bharat Stations. The stations include Sambalpur, Brajrajnagar, Belpahar, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Kantabanji, Sambalpur City and Mahasamund.

The project involves modernizing Coach Indication Board Systems and Automated Announcement Systems, with completion expected within six months.

Separately, the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai has assigned MIC Electronics to supply LED Emergency Lighting Units for LHB coaches. These lighting units meet Railway Design and Standards Organisation standards and will enhance passenger safety during emergencies. This project has a nine-month timeline for execution.

The contracts support the Government of India's Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, which aims to modernize railway infrastructure across the country. Indian Railways has been implementing various upgrades to improve passenger experience and safety standards at stations and in rolling stock.
