MG Windsor PRO to Feature Level 2 ADAS Technology

JSW MG Motor India has announced that its upcoming MG Windsor PRO will be equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering 12 safety features with multiple warning types to enhance driver and passenger safety.

The Windsor PRO, a follow-up to the company's best-selling electric vehicle in India, will include ADAS technology that provides audio, visual, and haptic warnings. Features in the safety package include Traffic Jam Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Warning.

Beyond safety enhancements, the vehicle will introduce Vehicle-to-Load and Vehicle-to-Vehicle technology, expanding functionality beyond basic transportation needs. These features allow owners to utilize the vehicle's electrical system for purposes beyond driving.

The original MG Windsor has maintained a leading position in India's electric vehicle market since its launch. The model combines elements of sedan spaciousness with SUV utility, positioning it as an option for consumers seeking both practicality and premium features.

JSW MG Motor India is a joint venture formed in 2023 between SAIC Motor and JSW Group. The partnership focuses on developing diverse vehicle options with advanced technologies while working to strengthen the manufacturing landscape in India through localization efforts.

Morris Garages, founded in the UK in 1924, began as a manufacturer of sports cars, roadsters, and cabriolets that attracted notable customers including British Prime Ministers and members of the Royal Family. The brand has evolved over its century-long history to embrace modern automotive technologies.

The company operates a manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, with an annual production capacity exceeding 100,000 vehicles and employing approximately 6,000 people directly and indirectly. Following its CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric) mobility vision, MG has introduced several firsts to the Indian market, including India's first Internet SUV, first pure electric Internet SUV, and first autonomous premium SUVs at different technology levels.
