MG Windsor Crosses 75,000 Sales Milestone in Under Two Years
JSW MG Motor India says the Windsor has crossed 75,000 wholesale units since launch, with over 19,000 units sold in H1 CY2026 as it prepares to expand its electrified portfolio.
JSW MG Motor India has announced that the MG Windsor has crossed the 75,000-unit wholesale sales milestone in less than two years since its launch, making it one of the company's fastest-selling electric vehicles in the Indian market. The automaker said more than 19,000 units of the Windsor have been sold during the first half of calendar year 2026, while its order book continues to grow.
The company also reported a 13 per cent year-on-year increase in its overall sales during H1 CY2026 compared with the corresponding period last year. It added that it plans to expand its new energy vehicle (NEV) portfolio during the current financial year with the introduction of two new battery electric vehicles and one plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.
"The Windsor is a winning proposition, delivering strong value and resonating with the preferences of Indian car buyers. With its customers spanning across metros and emerging markets, the MG Windsor has meaningfully contributed to accelerating India's EV adoption," said Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India.
According to the company, the Windsor is offered with two battery pack options. The standard version features a 38kWh battery pack with a claimed driving range of 332km, while the Windsor Pro is equipped with a 52.9kWh battery offering a claimed range of 449km. Both variants are powered by an electric motor producing 100kW (136hp) and 200Nm of torque.
The Windsor is available under MG's Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme with a starting vehicle price of Rs 9.99 lakh, excluding the battery subscription, which is charged at Rs 3.9 per kilometre under the financing scheme.
Besides the sales update, JSW MG Motor India said it will continue expanding its electrified vehicle lineup during FY2027 as it seeks to strengthen its presence in India's growing EV market.
