MG SELECT Introduces BaaS For Cyberster And M9
MG SELECT introduces BaaS for the Cyberster and M9, with prices starting at ₹72.49 lakh and ₹69.99 lakh plus ₹8/km battery rental.
MG SELECT, the luxury brand channel of JSW MG Motor India, has introduced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership programme for the MG Cyberster and MG M9 in India.
Under the introductory BaaS pricing, the MG Cyberster is available at ₹72.49 lakh, with a battery rental charge of ₹8 per km. The MG M9 is priced at ₹69.99 lakh under the programme, also with an ₹8 per km battery rental charge.
The BaaS programme changes the upfront ownership structure for the two electric models by separating the vehicle price from the battery rental component. MG SELECT said the programme is intended to provide additional ownership options for luxury EV buyers.
MG Cyberster Specifications
The MG Cyberster is a two-seat electric sports car powered by a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup. The powertrain produces 510PS and 725Nm, with a claimed 0-100kph acceleration time of around 3.2sec.
The model features electric scissor doors, cockpit-style seating and a low-slung design.
MG M9 Features
The MG M9 is a luxury electric MPV equipped with Presidential Seats offering 16-way adjustment, eight massage modes, ventilation and heating. Other equipment listed in the release includes a yacht-style dual sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting and a 13-speaker sound system.
Safety equipment includes Level 2 ADAS, a driver monitoring system and seven airbags. The M9 has certified five-star ratings from Euro NCAP and ANCAP, according to MG SELECT.
MG SELECT Experience Centres
MG SELECT currently operates 15 Experience Centres across 14 cities in India. The company said the centres will support customer access to the Cyberster and M9 as the BaaS programme is introduced.
