MG Motor retails 5,003 units in September 2023, grows by 31 percent

EV sales continue to contribute 25 percent of total sales for the company.

MG Motor India has posted a retail sales of 5,003 units for the month of September registering a growth of 31 percent over sales of September 2022.

This is also about 20-25 per cent higher than the retails in August of 2023,

The company owned by China's largest car maker SAIC says the sales of EVs continue to contribute 25 percent of the total sales of the company.

"Both the ZS EV with ADAS Level 2 and the Astor Black Storm have received positive responses from customers," added the statement from MG Motor.

Celebrating its centenary year MG Motor recently announced attractive benefits and special anniversary pricing for both its existing as well as prospective customers.

For the first six months of FY2024, cumulative sales are 28,882 units, registering a growth of over 30 percent yet the average monthly retail is still farther from the internal plans of retailing over 7,000 to 8,000 units a month.
