MG Motor India showcases performance details of Cyberster Roadster
The MG Cyberster Roadster features a dual-motor powertrain delivering 510 PS and advanced engineering tuned by a former Formula One engineer, blending retro-inspired aesthetics with modern technology for enhanced driving dynamics and safety features.
JSW MG Motor India, through its newly launched luxury brand channel MG Select, has released a performance preview of the upcoming MG Cyberster Roadster. Designed to combine retro-inspired aesthetics with modern technology, the Cyberster is tuned by former Italian Formula One engineer Marco Fainello to enhance its driving dynamics. The design draws inspiration from the classic MG B Roadster of the 1960s, blending heritage with innovation.
The MG Cyberster features a dual-motor powertrain that generates 510 PS of power and 725 Nm of torque, offering rapid acceleration and high-speed capabilities. The motors are equipped with advanced technology, including an 8-layer flat wire winding and a waterfall oil-cooling system, which enhances power output, efficiency, and reliability by enabling operation at high temperatures.
To ensure stability and handling, the Cyberster is equipped with a front double wishbone suspension and a rear five-link independent suspension. The vehicle’s 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution further contributes to balanced traction. Its aerodynamic Kammback design, characterized by a sharply truncated rear sloping roofline, minimizes body roll and enhances lateral stability for safer driving.
The MG Cyberster also introduces India’s first electric scissor doors, which include built-in dual radar sensors for added safety. These sensors offer sideways and upward protection when opening the doors, while an anti-pinch bounce-back feature ensures safety when closing them.
MG Motor India aims to redefine luxury and performance through MG Select, its new brand channel. This initiative, launched with exclusive experience centers in 12 cities, focuses on providing purposeful experiences to customers. MG Select integrates innovation and sustainability with a commitment to combining style, performance, and environmentally conscious mobility.
