Mercedes-Benz India has launched the Mercedes-AMG G 63 'Collector's Edition', a limited production luxury off-roader designed exclusively for the Indian market and restricted to 30 units. The vehicle was developed in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India and features India-inspired design elements with personalized customization options.
The Collector's Edition represents the first India-specific configuration of the AMG G 63, incorporating two bespoke exterior colors developed specifically for the Indian market: MANUFAKTUR Mid Green Magno and MANUFAKTUR Red Magno. The vehicle is priced at Rs. 4.3 crores on an all-India ex-showroom basis, with deliveries scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Mercedes-Benz has restricted availability of the Collector's Edition to existing customers of the company's Top-End Luxury Vehicles segment. The vehicle introduces several personalization features not previously available on AMG G 63 models, including customer names engraved on grab handles and edition-specific branding elements.
Technical specifications remain consistent with the standard AMG G 63, featuring a handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine producing 430 kW (585 horsepower) and 850 Nm of torque. The vehicle accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.4 seconds and achieves a maximum speed of 240 kilometers per hour.
Exterior modifications include a spare wheel cover with a special "One of Thirty" logo plaque and a distinctive protective strip with embedded insignia and Collector's Edition branding. The vehicle features 22-inch Tech Gold cross-forged AMG wheels designed to provide visual distinction and performance capabilities.
Interior appointments comprise MANUFAKTUR two-tone nappa leather upholstery in Catalana Beige and Black, complemented by open-pore natural walnut wood trim elements. The cabin retains standard AMG G 63 technology features, including the MBUX NTG7 infotainment system with 12.3-inch driver and multimedia displays, wireless smartphone integration, and Burmester 3D Surround Sound System with 18 speakers.
The development process involved collaboration between Mercedes-Benz India and Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India, marking the first time MBRDI has contributed to market-specific AMG configurations.

The launch reflects Mercedes-Benz India's strategy to expand its MANUFAKTUR customization program in the Indian market. The company has indicated plans to introduce additional market-specific customization options in collaboration with MBRDI, targeting the growing demand for personalized luxury vehicles in India's premium automotive segment.
Mercedes-Benz India reported record sales of 19,565 units in 2024, representing a 12.4 percent increase from the previous year.
The AMG G 63 Collector's Edition incorporates standard AMG performance features, including the AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with hydraulic roll stabilization, and comprehensive safety technologies including active brake assist and lane-keeping assist systems.
Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India, established in 1996, operates as the largest research and development center for Mercedes-Benz Group AG outside Germany. The facility employs over 8,500 professionals across offices in Bengaluru and Pune, focusing on connected, autonomous, and electric vehicle technologies.
