Mercedes-Benz Launches AMG G 63 Offroad PRO at Rs 3.80 Crore

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Offroad PRO variant in the domestic market, with ex-showroom prices starting at Rs 3.80 crore. Offered as a limited edition, the new model introduces dedicated off-road chassis hardware, expedition equipment, and exterior styling changes to the flagship G 63 SUV.

Mercedes-Benz has added a 'AMG Active Ride Control' suspension, featuring hydraulic roll stabilization and adaptive damping to optimize rough terrain. The system introduces two dedicated all-terrain driving modes: AMG Active Balance Control, which allows drivers to adjust suspension roll stiffness across three stages from low to high, and AMG Traction PRO, which manages individual wheel braking torque and provides a seven-stage locking calibration to regain traction in deep sand or rock environments.

Additional exterior hardware includes a roof rack accessible via a removable rear ladder, along with matte black 20-inch alloy wheels.

Powering the vehicle is a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 petrol engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid onboard electrical architecture, delivering 585 hp (430 kW) and 850 Nm of torque, with an auxiliary 15 kW boost provided at low engine speeds. Power is sent to all four wheels through an all-wheel-drive system. Mercedes-Benz claims the SUV accelerates from zero to 100 kmph in 4.4 seconds and reaches an electronically limited maximum speed of 240 kmph.

Inside the cabin, the vehicle features a dedicated off-road cockpit display consolidates steering angle, altitude, tyre pressures, compass orientation, and differential lock statuses, supported by a transparent bonnet camera function.
