India’s largest luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz India today inaugurated the ‘Green School Transformation’ project across three girls' schools in Pune. The project was rolled out in collaboration with NGO partner ‘Yuva Unstoppable’, and is expected to benefit over 1,600 girls. The project was officially inaugurated in 3 schools namely, Agarkar Kanya Vidyalaya (500 students), Gulubai Irani Kanya Vidyalaya (180 students), and Sant Jijabai Kanya Vidyalaya (1050) students, in the presence of Evren Cakabey, Executive Director and CFO, Mercedes-Benz India. The project targets students in secondary schools from grade 5-8.

The Google Classroom, which will benefit close to 1000 students, provides a centralised online platform where students can access all their course materials, assignments, and resources in one place. It has an integrated teaching device (K-Yan – a computer-cum-projector with interactivity/smart board, audio and video features), supported by multimedia content aligned to the school curriculum, a shareable device (Chromebooks) powered with Google workspace tools, training of teachers, and onsite technical support.
