Mercedes-Benz India announces price hike of up to 3% across all models from January 2025
Effective January 1, 2025, the price adjustment addresses rising input costs, inflation, and operational expenses. Existing and future bookings made until December 31, 2024, will benefit from price protection.
Mercedes-Benz India has announced a revision in the ex-showroom prices of its entire model range, effective from January 1, 2025. The price increase will be up to 3%, depending on the model. This adjustment is attributed to rising input costs, inflationary pressures, and increased logistics expenses, which have been impacting the company's operational costs and overall financial performance.
According to Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, the company has faced growing cost pressures over the past three quarters, primarily due to escalating material costs, fluctuating commodity prices, and higher logistics expenses. While efforts have been made to absorb these pressures through operational efficiencies, the company has decided on a nominal price correction to sustain its business.
The price correction will apply to vehicles that are currently not in stock, while price protection will remain valid for all existing and future bookings made until December 31, 2024. Mercedes-Benz Financial Services will continue to offer flexible financing options to enhance the total ownership experience for customers.
The price increase will range from Rs 2 lakhs for the GLC to Rs 9 lakhs for the top-end Mercedes-Maybach S 680 luxury limousine.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC is a premium SUV known for its blend of luxury, performance, and practicality. It is powered by a range of efficient engines, including petrol, diesel, and mild hybrid options, depending on the market. The SUV is equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission and Mercedes’ 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system for enhanced traction and driving dynamics.
Inside, the GLC offers a spacious cabin, featuring high-quality materials, advanced technology, and comfortable seating for five passengers. The infotainment system includes the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) interface, which integrates voice commands, a touchscreen display, and navigation. Safety features such as multiple airbags, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist further enhance its appeal as a versatile family vehicle.
On the other hand, the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 represents the pinnacle of luxury in the brand's lineup, catering to customers seeking opulence and sophistication. It is powered by a robust 6.0-liter V12 engine, delivering exceptional performance with refined smoothness. The limousine features a 9-speed automatic transmission and advanced air suspension to ensure a supremely comfortable ride.
The interior is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, offering hand-stitched leather upholstery, wood trim, and customizable ambient lighting. Rear passengers benefit from reclining seats, massage functions, and individual entertainment screens, making it an ideal choice for those prioritizing rear-seat comfort.
Technologically, the S 680 is equipped with cutting-edge systems, including a large OLED touchscreen for infotainment, a digital instrument cluster, and advanced driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera.
