Mercedes-Benz India inaugurated a new luxury retail showroom in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on May 18. The automaker partnered with its long-standing franchise operator Silver Star to open the facility, which is located at the Visakhapatnam Marriott by Fairfield along the Chennai-Kolkata Highway. During the inauguration, the company also showcased its new CLA battery electric vehicle to the local market.

The new sales facility spans approximately 2,300 square feet and integrates digital elements compliant with the global corporate identity standards of the automaker. The outlet is supported by a team of 15 professionals and includes a dedicated customer touchpoint area alongside one delivery bay. This marks the first luxury sales facility for the brand in Visakhapatnam, complementing its existing service center in the city.

The opening is part of a broader retail network expansion strategy planned for 2026. Mercedes-Benz intends to add more than 20 new outlets across high potential emerging markets and key metropolitan regions such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, and the Delhi National Capital Region. To support this network expansion and upgrade existing facilities to modern retail formats, franchise partners of the automaker will invest Rs 200 crore over the next two years.
