Menon Pistons Ltd appoints Sharanya and Devika Menon as Additional Directors

They both are daughters of Sachin Menon, the chairman and managing director of the company.

Kolhapur-based Menon Pistons Ltd has announced appointment of Sharanya Menon and Devika Menon as additional directors in the category of executive directors, which will be effective  from August 1, 2024, the company stated in a regulatory filing.

They both are daughters of Sachin Menon, the chairman and managing director of the company.

As per the company record, Sharanya Menon has a Bachelor of Engineering (with honours) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Warwick, UK, and also an MBA from INSEAD, The Business School for the World, France. She  joined Menon Pistons Ltd. in 2015, gaining experience in the manufacturing process. Prior to that, she has also worked in Cummins India Ltd., Pune for 14 months.

Devika Menon has completed her Degree (with Honours) in Business Management from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and her Masters Degree from University of Bath, U.K. She joined Menon Pistons Ltd. in December 2020.

Set up in 1971, Menon Pistons, is a manufacturer of aluminium alloy pistons, forged steel pistons and piston pins for passenger cars, heavy and light commercial vehicles and heavy-duty diesel engines for power generation, earthmovers, and compressors, among others.The company claims to have been a pioneer in developing the austenitic cast iron ring carrier piston (Alfin) 50 years ago and remains the only company in India to design and manufacture steel-forged pistons.
