B:Live, a growing multi-brand EV platform, has partnered with Medikabazaar – India’s medical marketplace, to help the latter adopt EVs for its delivery operations.
The first batch of EV 2Ws has been delivered to their respective hubs in
Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Delhi-NCR, Gurgaon, and Ahmedabad. These locations will ensure overall accessibility and convenience for riders in metropolitan areas.
Speaking about the collaboration, Samarth Kholkar, CEO and Co-founder, B:Live, said “This collaboration is aimed at furthering our cause for greater adoption of EVs in
the country. With a focus on electric vehicles for their Last mile delivery
solutions Medikabazaar can make use of electric vehicles to significantly
reduce the cost of operation, making EVs a winning proposition.”
Medikabazaar was looking for a solution to the evolving market demands, particularly in the
context of fast deliveries in hospitals, With increasing competition in the
market, the company recognised the importance of providing swift delivery
services through its fulfillment centres, in a cost-effective and sustainable
way. As a solution, B:Live offered the company a rental solution within their
price range that will not only reduce Medikabazaar’s running costs by close to
80% but also make them one of the early medical chains to go green, that is,
100% replacement of ICE vehicles with EVs.
Manish Gahlaut, COO, Medikabazaar, says, “We are extremely excited to partner with B:Live and utilise their expertise in sustainable mobility. We sought B:Live’s expertise in having a tailored solution and tap into the advantages offered by EVs, such as lower operating costs and reduced carbon emissions.”
The collaboration between B:Live and CBPL aims to resolve this issue by helping organizations like Medikabazaar deploy vehicles nationwide, focusing on Tier II cities. B:Live has scheduled the second phase for the next quarter (Q3), with plans to convert 20% of the fleet into EV 2Ws. This will result in a milestone of 50% of Medikabazaar fleet size conversion into electric
vehicles, the press release claims.
