Maserati inaugurated its first flagship showroom in Bengaluru on October 11, operated by VST Group as the brand's official partner for South India. The launch event featured the regional debut of the MCPura, the company's latest super sports car, and was attended by Giandomenico Milano, Consul General of Italy in Bengaluru, along with clients and media representatives.

The opening coincides with India's festive season, a period that typically sees increased activity in the luxury automotive segment. Maserati's expansion into Bengaluru follows the brand's strategy to grow its retail network across India and serve the region's luxury car market.

The new showroom includes a customer lounge, delivery area, and facilities for vehicle customization through Maserati's Fuoriserie personalization program. Customers can access the brand's current lineup, including the Grecale SUV, GranTurismo grand tourer, and the newly introduced MCPura.

The MCPura is built around a carbon-fibre monocoque chassis and powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine that produces 630 PS at 7,500 rpm and 720 Nm of torque from 3,000 rpm.

The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. The engine uses a pre-chamber combustion system with twin spark plugs, technology adapted from Formula 1 racing.

The car features butterfly doors and is available in two versions: the Coupé and the Cielo convertible. The Cielo includes an electro-chromic glass roof that can transition between opaque and transparent states. Each unit is hand-built at Maserati's facility in Modena, Italy.

Arun Surendra, Chairman and Group Managing Director of VST Group, said the opening represents a milestone for the company's entry into the luxury automotive market. Philippe Claverol, Head of Maserati Overseas Region, stated that the showroom reflects the brand's retail identity and its focus on the South Indian market.

The MCPura Coupé is priced at INR 4.12 crore, while the MCPura Cielo is priced at INR 5.12 crore, both ex-showroom India. The vehicles are available for custom orders.
