Maserati has announced the appointment of Maurizio Zuares as its global Chief Commercial Officer, effective January 1, 2025. Maurizio will take over from Luca Delfino, who is stepping down to explore new opportunities. Maserati has acknowledged Luca’s contributions during his tenure.
Maurizio Zuares brings extensive experience and an international perspective to the luxury automotive brand. He began his career at Ford in Italy, gaining expertise in sales and brand management.
In 1999, he joined Fiat Group’s Automotive Division, where he held various sales and marketing leadership roles in several markets. His notable positions include serving as President of Fiat Auto Japan in 2004, International Sales Director in 2009, Managing Director for the Spanish market in 2011, CEO of FCA France in 2012, and Head of Middle East in 2016.
From 2019, Maurizio was responsible for Business Centers Operations in the EMEA region, focusing on markets outside Italy. At Stellantis, he served as CEO for Spain and Portugal and most recently managed Leapmotor International in the Enlarged Europe region. Maurizio holds a degree in Business and Management and an MBA in Economics, Finance, and Administration from Universitá degli Studi di Ancona and Istao Institute, Italy.
Maserati CEO Santo Ficili expressed his confidence in Maurizio’s leadership, citing his experience and global perspective as key assets for driving Maserati’s growth. He also extended gratitude to Luca Delfino for his service and wished him success in future endeavors.
