Maruti Suzuki India has commenced commercial production at the second plant at its Kharkhoda manufacturing facility in Haryana, adding 250,000 units of annual production capacity.

With the latest addition, the automaker’s total installed annual production capacity across its facilities has increased to 2.65 million units. The company currently operates plants in Gurugram, Manesar, Hansalpur and Kharkhoda.

Maruti Suzuki started production at its first plant at the Kharkhoda facility in February 2025, with a capacity of 250,000 units per annum. The second line takes the total capacity at the Haryana facility to 500,000 units annually.

The company said the expansion aligns with its previously announced plan to add 500,000 units of production capacity during FY2026-27.

According to the company, the Kharkhoda facility currently manufactures the Brezza compact SUV and the Victoris mid-size SUV. Once fully operational, the site is expected to have an annual production capacity of 1 million units.

Maruti Suzuki’s current production capacity distribution includes 500,000 units at Gurugram, 900,000 units at Manesar, 750,000 units at Hansalpur and 500,000 units at Kharkhoda.
