Maruti Suzuki India reported total sales of 242,688 units in May 2026, marking an increase from 180,077 units recorded in May 2025, driven by growth in domestic volumes and exports. Domestic sales, including passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles and OEM supplies, stood at 200,774 units, while exports accounted for 41,914 units.
The company’s domestic passenger vehicle sales reached 190,337 units during the month, compared to 135,962 units in May 2025. Including light commercial vehicles, total domestic sales stood at 193,535 units, up from 138,690 units in the same period last year.
Passenger cars contributed 97,830 units to overall volumes, with the compact and mid-size segment — comprising models such as the Baleno, Swift, Dzire and WagonR — accounting for 81,555 units, compared to 61,960 units in May 2025. Utility vehicles, including models such as the Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx and Grand Vitara, recorded sales of 79,267 units against 54,899 units a year earlier.
Sales of the Eeco van stood at 13,240 units during the month, while Super Carry light commercial vehicle volumes increased to 3,198 units from 2,728 units in May 2025.
OEM supplies declined year-on-year to 7,239 units from 10,168 units, while exports rose from 31,219 units in May 2025 to 41,914 units in May 2026.
For the April–May period of FY2026-27, Maruti Suzuki’s cumulative sales reached 482,334 units, compared to 359,868 units during the corresponding period of FY2025-26.
