Maruti Suzuki India Limited reported net sales of ₹47,534 crore in Q3 FY2025-26, up 29.2% from ₹36,802 crore in Q3 FY2024-25. Net profit for the quarter rose 3.7% to ₹3,794 crore compared to ₹3,659 crore in the year-ago period, despite being impacted by a one-time provision of ₹594 crore related to the New Labour Codes.

The automaker achieved record-breaking quarterly domestic sales of 5.65 lakh units, up 20.9% from 4.67 lakh units in Q3 FY2024-25. Total sales including exports reached an all-time high of 6.68 lakh units, up 17.9% from 5.66 lakh units in the previous year's third quarter.

The company attributed the strong performance to a sharp recovery in the Indian car market following GST reform. The small car segment, now in the 18% GST bracket, accounted for 68,328 units of the 97,676-unit increase in domestic sales.

Exports during the quarter stood at 1.03 lakh units compared to 99,220 units in the same period last year, representing a 3.9% growth.

For the nine-month period from April to December, Maruti Suzuki registered its highest-ever nine-monthly performance across all key metrics. Net sales climbed 17% to ₹1,24,291 crore from ₹1,06,259 crore in 9M FY2024-25, while net profit increased 4% to ₹10,855 crore from ₹10,440 crore in the year-ago period.

Total sales volume for the nine-month period reached 17.47 lakh units, up 7.2% from 16.30 lakh units in 9M FY2024-25. Domestic sales accounted for 14.36 lakh units, with exports contributing 3.11 lakh units.

The company also unveiled its first electric vehicle, the e Vitara, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January. The electric SUV, available with 49kWh and 61kWh battery pack options and a claimed range of 543 km, is expected to launch in early 2026. Additionally, Maruti began exporting its premium SUV Victoris (sold globally as 'Across') to over 100 countries, with the first shipment of 450+ vehicles departing from Gujarat ports in mid-January.
