Maruti Suzuki India Limited has inaugurated its 1,500th parts and accessories distributor touchpoint in Mumbai, marking a significant expansion of its after-sales service infrastructure across the country. The facility was opened by company executives S. D. Chhabra, Executive Officer, and Kohsuke Hattori, Executive Vice President for Parts, Accessories and Logistics.

The distributor network now spans approximately 760 cities across India, operating independently of the company's existing service network of over 5,500 touchpoints under its ARENA and NEXA brands. These distribution outlets primarily serve smaller independent workshops and mechanics, providing access to company-certified genuine parts and accessories.

Speaking at the inauguration, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, emphasized the importance of accessible genuine parts for customer confidence. He noted that certified parts help maintain vehicle performance, safety and longevity, which are key factors in customer retention for the brand.

The company describes its parts and accessories network as integral to its customer-focused ecosystem. The distribution system comprises warehouses and retail outlets strategically positioned to ensure availability of genuine components across Maruti Suzuki's vehicle range. According to the company, timely availability of authentic parts reduces vehicle downtime and enhances the ownership experience while potentially improving vehicle performance and longevity, though actual results depend on usage, maintenance and driving conditions.

The expansion represents Maruti Suzuki's continued investment in after-sales infrastructure, extending its reach beyond its traditional sales and service footprint to better serve the independent workshop sector across India.
