Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the Victoris Aurum Edition Strong Hybrid  to mark the SUV’s first anniversary, with a kit price of ₹22,990, and named actor Shahid Kapoor as the face of the edition ahead of the festive season.

The Aurum Edition features Strong Hybrid technology with EV mode. Its design includes copper-coloured inserts on the front, side and rear skid plates and the wheel arches.

Chrome accessories are fitted to the front grille, fenders, bumpers, body side mouldings and door visors. The kit also includes all-weather 3D cabin mats, a 3D boot mat and a rear trunk sill guard.

Maruti Suzuki said the Victoris set the record for the highest number of cars sold during the first year of a new model launch in the passenger vehicle category. It also said the SUV is the fastest-selling passenger vehicle in India to cross both the 1 lakh and 1.5 lakh sales milestones.

Commenting on the launch, Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “Conceptualised as a ‘Got it All’ SUV for today’s dynamic young go-getters who ‘want it all’, the VICTORIS has truly won the hearts of buyers. As we celebrate its first anniversary, it’s worth noting that the VICTORIS has become the fastest-selling PV to clock both the 1.5 Lakh and 1 Lakh sales milestones, going on to achieve the highest sales for any car in India during its 1st year of launch. Recognising these extraordinary achievements, we are introducing the VICTORIS AURUM Edition Strong Hybrid, with tasteful enhancements that are sure to grab eyeballs and make this festive season feel all the more special for our valuable customers. Our association with Shahid Kapoor, for the new AURUM Edition is also sure to complement the VICTORIS’ contemporary appeal.”

The name Aurum comes from the Latin word for gold, which the company said reflects the Victoris’ first year of sales. Maruti Suzuki said the edition is aimed at young customers who are early adopters of technology.

The Victoris won the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2026 award. It also received Car of the Year awards from BBC Top Gear India, Car India Magazine, ABP Live Auto and Hindustan Times Auto. The company said the model has won awards across multiple categories from different juries.

The sales claims are supported by JATO Dynamics Limited certifications dated September 16, 2026 (highest first-year sales), October 12, 2026 (1.5 lakh milestone) and May 31, 2026 (1 lakh milestone).
