Maruti Suzuki Launches New Brezza Turbo Boosterjet at ₹7.39 Lakh

The SUV is offered with a new 997cc turbo-petrol engine, the existing K15C petrol engine and an S-CNG variant.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited launched the New Brezza Turbo Boosterjet  introducing a new engine option and design and feature updates to its compact SUV. The Turbo Boosterjet variant is priced from INR 7,39,900 (introductory, ex-showroom).

The New Brezza Turbo Boosterjet is powered by a 997cc engine with Progressive Smart Hybrid Technology, producing 81 kW (110.2 PS) at 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm of torque between 2,000-3,500 rpm, paired with a new 6-speed manual transmission. Maruti Suzuki states the variant delivers a fuel efficiency of 20.47 km/l, as certified under Rule 115 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.

The New Brezza also continues to be offered with the 1,462cc K15C Dual Jet Dual VVT engine with Progressive Smart Hybrid Technology, producing 75.8 kW (103.05 PS) at 6,000 rpm and 139 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. This variant gets a new 6-speed manual transmission in addition to the existing 6-speed automatic transmission with steering-mounted paddle shifters, with a claimed fuel efficiency of 21.09 km/l.

An S-CNG variant is also available, using the 1,462cc engine with a new underbody CNG tank configuration that the company says preserves boot space. In petrol mode, this variant produces 75.8 kW (103.05 PS) at 6,000 rpm and 139 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm; in CNG mode, it produces 64.6 kW (87.8 PS) at 5,500 rpm and 121.5 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. It also introduces Idle Start-Stop technology and a new 6-speed manual transmission, with a claimed fuel efficiency of 26.9 km/kg.

The New Brezza gets a new Smoke Chrome Grille, a Metallic Grey Bull Bar and Skid Plate design, refreshed dual-tone side cladding, and new precision-cut alloy wheels. The Turbo Boosterjet variant carries distinct "Turbo Boosterjet" badging.

The New Brezza is built for a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating for the petrol variant. New safety features include Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Emergency Stop Signal and Exit Support Warning. The vehicle also gets a 360-degree camera system with three new views, along with front and rear parking sensors.

The SUV is equipped with a 25.65 cm (10.1-inch) SmartPlay Pro X touchscreen infotainment system with built-in internet connectivity, over 35 apps, OTA updates, a built-in Alexa voice assistant, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Other features include premium speakers, Surround Sense audio by Arkamys, a 64-colour customisable ambient lighting system, a dual-tone dark brown and black interior with leatherette seats, ventilated front seats, a PM2.5 filter with Autopurify and AQI display, and a wireless smartphone charger with active cooling.

The New Brezza introduces two new colours, Vivacious Orange and Lustrous Beige, in addition to Pearl Bluish Black, Magma Gray, Sizzling Red, Splendid Silver and Pearl Arctic White. Dual-tone options include Lustrous Beige, Arctic White and Sizzling Red, each with a Bluish Black roof.

Maruti Suzuki is also offering three accessory packages: the Turbo Package, with red accents and C-pillar Turbo badging for the Turbo Boosterjet variant; the Terrascape Package, with brown and silver exterior trim; and the Metroscape Package, aimed at a sportier, urban styling theme.

The New Brezza measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width and 1,685 mm in unladen height, with a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. It rides on 215/60 R16 tyres, with a suspension setup of MacPherson strut with coil spring at the front and a torsion beam with coil spring at the rear. Fuel tank capacity is 48 litres for petrol and 55 litres (water equivalent) for CNG.
