Maruti Suzuki India Limited has officially launched the updated model of its Brezza compact SUV. Priced from ₹7.40 lakh ex-showroom, the facelift offers a new 1.0-litre engine, producing 81 kW (110.2 PS) and 170 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
This powertrain variant also incorporates Progressive Smart Hybrid technology and delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.47 km/l.
The vehicle also retains and offers the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated engine, producing 75.8 kW and 139 Nm of torque. It is now offered with a choice of a new 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The 1.5-litre K15C engine also has a CNG option, which produces 65 kW and 121 Nm of torque, equipped with an underbody-mounted CNG tank.
In terms of cosmetic changes, the facelift sports an updated front grille, bull bar, and skid plate, along with refreshed dual-tone side cladding and alloy wheels. The Brezza earned a 5-Star Bharat NCAP safety rating for crashes, and features a slew of driver aids, including Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Emergency Stop Signal, and Exit Support Warning, according to the company.
