Maruti Fronx Velocity Edition prices begin at Rs 7.29 lakh
Entry-level Fronx Velocity Edition undercuts Sigma variant by Rs 23,000.
The Maruti Fronx Velocity Edition is now available across all 14 petrol and CNG variants, with prices starting at Rs 7.29 lakh for a limited period. Maruti had earlier introduced the accessories pack, which adds a number of cosmetic changes inside and out, for just the Fronx Turbo variants.
Considering the Fronx Velocity Edition based on the entry-level Sigma variant is priced at Rs 7.29 lakh, it undercuts the standard trim by Rs 23,000. Despite the lower price, the Velocity adds a contrasting garnish on the front bumper, grille, headlights and on the wheel wells.
For the Delta, Delta+ and Delta+ (O) trims that come with the 1.2-litre engine (available in 90hp petrol and 78hp CNG form), the Velocity Edition additionally gets red side mouldings, a red and black-finished rear spoiler, red ORVM covers, garnishing on the rear doors, illuminated door sills and a red dash mat.
Coming to the 100hp Turbo variants, these see the same cosmetic updates as before, with a red and grey exterior styling package, along with a carbon-finish on the inside in addition to the changes seen on the lower Velocity Edition trims.
Mechanically, the Velocity Edition is identical to the standard Fronx. The 1.2-litre petrol engine gets manual and AMT auto options, while the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit gets manual and torque convertor auto options.
