Maruti Suzuki has dispatched 4,261 units of its new Victoris SUV to Arena dealerships across India in September 2025, amid rising demand and growing waiting periods. The company is targeting a monthly output of 6,000–7,000 units by the end of this quarter to cater to the increasing backlog. The Victoris is manufactured at the new Kharkhoda plant in Haryana.
At the start of October, Maruti confirmed that customer bookings for the Victoris had crossed 25,000 units, with waiting periods stretching up to 10 weeks for select variants. Dealer sources say that the mid and top-spec trims equipped with petrol-CNG and strong-hybrid powertrains are witnessing the highest demand, while the pure-petrol variants are more readily available at several outlets, with some even offering immediate delivery.
Built on Suzuki’s Global C platform, the Victoris is powered by a 1.5-litre strong-hybrid setup shared with the Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder, alongside a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol option. Higher trims feature ADAS Level 2, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and a digital driver’s display, marking Maruti’s continued move upmarket.
In terms of features, the Victoris offers a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, connected car tech, six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, and hill-hold assist. Many of these features, including ADAS and a fully digital instrument cluster, are not available even on the more premium Grand Vitara.
The SUV’s early success can also be attributed to its aggressive pricing, improved GST 2.0 tax benefits, and wider reach through Maruti’s expansive Arena dealer network. Unlike the Grand Vitara, which is sold via the limited Nexa outlets, the Victoris benefits from far greater accessibility across India.
