Marposs Expands Presence in India with New Tech Center in Bengaluru
The newly inaugurated facility will focus on advanced quality control and precision measurement technologies, supporting industries such as semiconductors, consumer electronics, and aerospace while providing tailored solutions for the Indian market.
Marposs, a company specializing in quality control and precision measurement solutions, has inaugurated a new technology center in Bengaluru. Spanning approximately 400 square meters, the facility will serve as both an office space and a hub for advanced technological solutions tailored to the Indian market. The center will focus on research and development, particularly in the semiconductor, consumer electronics, and aerospace sectors, while also offering customized solutions for local customers.
Marposs has been operating in India since 1981, initially through partnerships, distributors, and sales agents. In 2007, the company established a direct branch in Delhi, followed by an expansion in Gurgaon in 2008, which included offices and service centers. Currently, Marposs India operates six offices in Manesar, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Jamshedpur, Pune, and Bengaluru.
The company projects a turnover of 20 million euros for 2024 and employs 120 people in India. The automotive sector accounts for approximately 50% of its revenue, with the remaining share coming from mechanical components and machine tool applications. In the coming years, Marposs plans to expand its focus to semiconductor manufacturing, consumer electronics, aerospace, and electric vehicle battery sectors.
As industries face increasingly stringent regulatory and compliance standards, demand for advanced measurement and inspection technologies is growing. Marposs aims to support manufacturers in meeting these quality requirements with its precision measurement and control solutions.
The company has ongoing collaborations with local industries, government institutions, and research organizations to drive innovation and develop market-specific solutions. It also partners with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the Indian automotive sector.
With expertise in consumer electronics, electric vehicles, semiconductors, machine tools, and biomedical engineering, Marposs aims to enhance production processes through advanced technology. The company’s widespread distribution network across India ensures efficient service and support.
