MapmyIndia Mappls has announced partnerships with the Survey of India and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), marking a significant expansion of its government sector operations.

The digital mapping company will power Survey of India's National Geo Platform, which aims to standardize and manage geospatial datasets across India. The platform will provide access to ortho-rectified imagery, digital elevation models, administrative boundaries, and geographical names through web services, APIs, and mobile applications.

For IOCL, MapmyIndia will develop a Centralized Vehicle Tracking & Management System (CVTMS) for approximately 23,000 LPG trucks operating across 150 supply locations nationwide. The solution will include geo-fencing, route optimization, fleet monitoring, and emergency response capabilities.

Rakesh Verma, Co-founder and Chairman & Managing Director of MapmyIndia Mappls, described the partnerships as aligned with the government's initiative to develop India's geospatial sector, which targets revenue of Rs 1 lakh crore by 2030.

The company noted these partnerships complement existing engagements with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and an anticipated contract with Indian Railways.

C.E. Info Systems Ltd., which operates as MapmyIndia and Mappls, has been providing digital mapping services in India since 1995. The company serves over 2,000 enterprise customers with mapping, navigation, IoT-based fleet management, and geospatial data analytics solutions.
