Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the XUV 3XO ZNG, its first mainstream CNG passenger vehicle, at a starting price of ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The compact SUV is offered in four variants, with prices extending to ₹12.27 lakh.

The XUV 3XO ZNG is powered by a 1.2-litre mStallion turbocharged engine that produces 82kW of power and 200Nm of torque in both CNG and petrol modes. Mahindra claims a certified fuel efficiency of 24.7km/kg in CNG mode, with acceleration from 0-60kph taking 4.9 seconds.

The vehicle uses a 10-bar CNG injection pressure system, which Mahindra says is a first in the segment. The dual-fuel system automatically switches to petrol when the CNG supply runs low. An integrated gas-leak detection system can also trigger a switch to petrol if a leak is detected.

Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG Price And Variants

The XUV 3XO ZNG is available in four variants: MX Edge, REVX Edge (O), AX5 and REVX A. All prices are ex-showroom.

Variant Price
MX Edge ₹9.99 lakh
REVX Edge (O) ₹10.79 lakh
AX5 ₹11.19 lakh
REVX A ₹12.27 lakh

The entry-level MX Edge gets a 26.03cm HD infotainment touchscreen, wireless Android Auto, wired Apple CarPlay, cruise control, rear AC vents, a 60:40 split rear seat and a rear-view camera.

The REVX Edge (O) adds features including a single-pane Skyroof, roof rails, electrically foldable outside rear-view mirrors, automatic headlamps and wipers, passive keyless entry and push-button start.

The AX5 variant features twin 26.03cm screens for infotainment and the digital instrument cluster, a single-pane sunroof, LED projector headlamps, dual-zone climate control and connected-car functions. The range-topping REVX A adds Dolby Atmos audio, black leatherette seats, a dual-tone roof and 16-inch black-painted alloy wheels.

CNG System And Boot Space

The XUV 3XO ZNG uses twin CNG cylinders positioned beneath the luggage area. This layout preserves a flat loading floor and provides 270 litres of usable boot space, according to Mahindra, while the spare wheel is mounted underneath the vehicle.

The SUV also gets average and instantaneous fuel-economy displays and an NGV fast-filling valve. These features are intended to provide fuel-consumption information and facilitate refuelling.

Safety Features In The Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG

All variants come with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC) and ISOFIX child-seat mounts. The vehicle is based on the XUV 3XO, which has received a five-star Bharat NCAP rating for adult and child occupant protection.

Mahindra has also equipped the CNG model with gas-leak detection and automatic switching to petrol in the event of a detected leak.

Bookings And Deliveries

Test drives for the Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG will begin on October 15, 2026. Bookings will open on October 20 through authorised dealerships and the company's website.
