Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business reported a 35% year-on-year growth in domestic tractor sales for February 2026, selling 32,153 units compared to 23,880 units in the same month last year.

Total tractor sales, including exports, stood at 34,133 units during the month, up from 25,527 units in February 2025. Exports for the month rose 20% to 1,980 units.

Veejay Nakra, President, Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said the company registered “a robust growth of 35% over last year” in the domestic market.

He attributed the growth to strong agricultural fundamentals, noting that robust expansion in the rabi sowing area, healthy reservoir levels and a favourable kharif harvest are strengthening rural cash flows. Nakra added that positive rural sentiment along with Navratri during the month is expected to further support tractor demand.

On exports, he said the company recorded 1,980 tractor sales, marking a 20% increase over the previous year.

YTD Performance

For the financial year-to-date February period, domestic tractor sales reached 462,527 units, reflecting a 24% growth over 374,512 units in the corresponding period last year.

Exports during the same period rose 24% to 18,841 units compared to 15,195 units last year. Total YTD sales stood at 481,368 units, up 24% from 389,707 units in the previous year.

Mahindra continues to maintain its position as the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume.
