Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business reported total tractor sales of 49,695 units in May 2026, marking a 22% increase over 40,643 units sold during the same period in 2025.

Domestic tractor sales stood at 47,845 units during the month, up 23% from 38,914 units recorded a year earlier. Export volumes increased 7% to 1,850 units.

For the year-to-date period through May, domestic sales reached 94,249 units, up 22%, while exports rose 18% to 3,857 units. Total cumulative tractor sales stood at 98,106 units, compared to 80,697 units during the corresponding period last year.

Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., attributed growth to agricultural activity and market conditions. “We have sold 47,845 tractors in the domestic market during May 2026, registering a growth of 23% over last year. This high growth was driven by the timely completion of Rabi harvesting and favourable terms of trade for farmers,” he said.

Nakra added that exports grew 7% year-on-year during the month.
