Mahindra SUV Domestic Sales Rise 19% in February 

Total vehicle volumes grow 18% to 97,177 units as Utility Vehicles anchor momentum; 3-wheelers jump 44%

Mahindra SUV Domestic Sales Rise 19% in February 

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. reported total auto sales of 97,177 vehicles in February 2026, marking an 18% year-on-year growth including exports. The company’s Utility Vehicles segment remained the primary growth driver, with domestic SUV sales reaching 60,018 units, up 19% compared to the same month last year.

Including exports, total SUV sales stood at 60,685 units for the month. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., said, “February saw SUV sales of 60,018 units, a growth of 19% reflecting robust customer demand across the portfolio. Total vehicle sales stood at 97,177 units, an 18% year-on-year growth.”

On a year-to-date basis up to February, Mahindra’s domestic utility vehicle sales reached 600,004 units, registering a 19% growth over 503,439 units in the previous year period. Passenger vehicle sales for the month were entirely driven by Utility Vehicles, with no volumes recorded under the Cars + Vans category.

In the domestic commercial vehicles segment, Mahindra reported sales of 24,585 units, reflecting a 10% year-on-year increase. Within this, the LCV under 2 tonne category recorded 3,169 units, down 4% compared to last year, while the 2–3.5 tonne LCV segment posted 21,416 units, up 12% year-on-year. The three-wheeler segment, including electric models, stood out with sales of 9,190 units, registering a sharp 44% growth. Year-to-date three-wheeler volumes reached 101,202 units, up 30% over the previous year period.

Exports for February 2026 stood at 3,384 units, marking an 11% growth, while year-to-date exports rose 21% to 37,022 units. The company clarified that total vehicle sales of 97,177 units include SUVs, LCVs under 3.5 tonnes, three-wheelers and export volumes.
