Mahindra reveals news CEV5 range of construction equipment at Bauma Conexpo 2024

Mahindra Construction Equipment (MCE), a division of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., launched its latest CEV5 range of construction equipment at the BAUMA CONEXPO 2024 held at the India Expo Centre. The new range includes upgrades to the existing EarthMaster Backhoe Loader and RoadMaster Motor Grader, featuring higher power engines that comply with the latest CEV5 emission standards.

The newly launched CEV5 range is designed to improve operator productivity with a larger and more comfortable cabin. The RoadMaster G100, which comes with a 102 HP engine, is targeted at enhancing road construction productivity, while the EarthMaster SX and SXe Backhoe Loaders, equipped with 74 HP engines, offer versatility for various construction applications.

The company also introduced the RoadMaster G80 Motor Grader, aimed at helping smaller contractors transition from manual labor and makeshift farm tractor-based graders to mechanized equipment. Additionally, Mahindra announced its Uptime Service Guarantee, promising that if a machine is not operational within 48 hours, customers will receive a compensation of Rs. 1,000 per day. This initiative will be supported by a wide service and spare parts network, which includes over 50 authorized 3S dealerships and Saathi+ service centers across India.

Dr. Venkat Srinivas, Business Head – Truck and Bus & Construction Equipment at Mahindra & Mahindra, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation, local manufacturing, and supporting the Indian government’s sustainability goals. He noted that the new CEV5 range, developed by Mahindra’s engineers, focuses on improving performance and reducing operational costs through advanced technologies like Mahindra IMAXX telematics.

The CEV5 range is powered by Mahindra’s advanced telematics system, which provides enhanced fleet management, reduces ownership costs, and improves fleet safety. This telematics system is part of Mahindra’s ongoing efforts to enhance product offerings and customer experience.

In addition to the new CEV5 range, Mahindra also displayed other key products from its portfolio, including the BLAZO X 48 CLS 10x4 Tipper, BLAZO X m-DURA Tipper, and BLAZO X 28 Transit Mixer. These vehicles are designed for a variety of construction and transportation applications, offering higher efficiency, durability, and advanced features like Mahindra IMAXX telematics. The BLAZO X range also includes a Double Service Guarantee, offering a 36-hour turnaround time and a 48-hour uptime commitment.

The company also introduced the FURIO 10 Fuel Bowser, which is designed for doorstep fuel delivery, aiming to support the Indian government’s push for efficient energy distribution.

Mahindra Construction Equipment’s service network has expanded to over 400 touchpoints, including 80 authorized 3S dealerships and over 2,900 roadside assistance points across India. In line with its focus on customer welfare, Mahindra also highlighted the Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyaan, a program that provides scholarships to the daughters of truck drivers.
