Mahindra & Mahindra, India's largest tractor company, has announced the launch of a new rotavator series featuring a redesigned exterior and a wider mast structure. The updated range falls under the heavy-duty rotavator category, branded as the Mahavator and Mahavator HD, and is available in sizes from 4 to 9 feet.
The new series was developed following market research and farmer feedback, with the company stating it offers improved structural integrity and longer durability for heavy tillage operations. The design aims to provide greater stability on uneven terrain commonly encountered across Indian farmland.
While the redesigned lineup will progressively replace current models, Mahindra has stated it will continue to offer its existing rotavator range in parallel, giving buyers access to a broader portfolio covering different operational and budgetary requirements.
Alongside the main launch, the company introduced a limited-edition range in tricolour-inspired colours — Metallic Orange, Everest White, and Metallic Green. This edition is available in the Mahavator HD, Supervator, and Gyrovator ZLX+ variants and is positioned as a tribute to India's agricultural community.
Mahindra also highlighted its Tez-e intelligent rotavator, a patented product that uses Bluetooth technology to transmit real-time farm data to a mobile application, enabling more precise tillage management.
The new rotavators are manufactured at Mahindra's dedicated facilities in Nabha, Punjab and Zaheerabad, Telangana. The range will be distributed through a phased rollout across the company's existing dealer network.
Mahindra has sold over 4 million tractors globally and maintains a manufacturing presence across North America, Brazil, Turkey, and Japan. Its farm machinery division operates a dedicated facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, capable of producing 1,200 combine harvesters and 3,300 rice transplanters annually.
