Mahindra Launches YUVO TECH+ 475 DI Tractor with Enhanced Engine Technology
Mahindra Tractors announced Sunday the launch of its new YUVO TECH+ 475 DI, a 42 horsepower tractor designed for farming and non-farming operations across multiple Indian states.
The new model features a 2980 cc mBULL 3-cylinder engine that produces 191 Nm of maximum torque with 28% backup torque capacity. The tractor incorporates a water separator system intended to extend engine life by preventing water and contaminants from entering critical engine components.
Key technical specifications include a Multi-Speed PTO system that allows operators to adjust power take-off speeds for different implements, and dual clutch technology with 12 forward and 3 reverse gears. The hydraulic system offers a 2000 kg lift capacity with a 29 liter-per-minute hydraulic pump flow rate.
The tractor is available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations and includes ergonomic seating, power steering, and accessible controls designed to reduce operator fatigue during extended use periods.
Mahindra is offering a 6-year warranty on the YUVO TECH+ 475 DI, which the company describes as an industry-leading coverage period. The model is currently available through Mahindra dealerships in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.
Mahindra Tractors holds the position as India's largest tractor manufacturer by volume and has maintained that status for nearly four decades. The company reports having sold 4 million tractors globally as of March 2024, with operations spanning over 50 countries.
The Mumbai-based manufacturer produces more than 300 tractor models across five manufacturing locations in India, with additional international manufacturing and assembly operations in North America, Brazil, Finland, Turkey, and Japan. The United States represents the company's second-largest market after India.
The launch adds to Mahindra's existing portfolio in the competitive Indian tractor market, where the company competes with domestic and international manufacturers serving the agricultural and commercial vehicle segments.
