Mahindra has announced plans to establish 250 electric vehicle charging stations equipped with 180 kW chargers, creating over 1,000 charging points by the end of 2027 as part of its Charge_IN network initiative.
The company inaugurated its first two Charge_IN stations on Monday, located at Hoskote on NH 75 along the Bengaluru-Chennai highway and Murthal on NH44, approximately 50 kilometers from Delhi. Each station features two ultra-fast chargers capable of servicing four electric vehicles simultaneously.
The charging infrastructure will exclusively utilize 180 kW dual gun chargers designed for electric four-wheelers. According to company specifications, the chargers can power Mahindra's eSUV portfolio from 20 to 80 percent capacity in 20 minutes.
Nalinikanth Gollagunta, Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra's Automotive Division, stated that the initiative aims to create an accessible charging network for all EV users while building customer confidence in long-distance electric travel.
The charging stations will be positioned along major highway corridors and co-located with amenities including restaurants and cafes. Mahindra eSUV owners can access the network through the Me4U app, while other electric vehicle brands can utilize the Charge_IN by Mahindra app or third-party aggregator platforms.
Currently, Mahindra customers can access approximately 34,000 public charging points across various operators through the Me4U app, including the new Charge_IN network.
The expansion aligns with government initiatives to strengthen public EV charging infrastructure and accelerate electric vehicle adoption in India.
