Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Maintains Leadership in Electric Commercial Vehicle Sector
MLMML secures 37.3% market share in L5 category, drives EV penetration growth, and expands portfolio with new electric vehicles.
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has maintained its position as India's leading electric commercial vehicle manufacturer for the fourth consecutive year in FY25, according to the company announcement. The company's flagship brands Treo and Zor Grand have played a pivotal role in driving electrification within the L5 category, contributing to a substantial increase in EV penetration from 16.9% in FY24 to 24.2% in FY25.
Despite facing strong competition from established players and new market entrants, MLMML has secured a commanding 37.3% market share in the L5 category. The company has achieved several significant milestones during this period, including becoming the first manufacturer to sell over 200,000 commercial electric vehicles and recording sales exceeding 100,000 units of the Treo, which has been recognized as India's leading electric auto.
MLMML expanded its product portfolio in FY25 with the introduction of the metal-bodied Treo and the Mahindra ZEO, the company's first four-wheeled electric commercial small commercial vehicle (SCV). Following the success of its three-wheeled electric vehicles, the Mahindra ZEO represents the company's entry into the four-wheeled cargo electrification segment.
MLMML operates as a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) and offers the widest range of electric, petrol, CNG, and diesel last-mile mobility three and four-wheeler passenger and cargo vehicles in the market. The company's electric vehicle lineup now includes the ZEO 4W SCV alongside the fuel-efficient Alfa and Jeeto range of vehicles.
