Mahindra Last Mile Mobility leads India's electric three-wheeler market

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML), a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, reaffirms its position as the foremost electric three-wheeler manufacturer in India, achieving a significant milestone in FY24. As per Vahan portal, MLMML has emerged as India's number 1 electric three-wheeler manufacturer, having sold over 1.4 lakh electric vehicles to date. MLMML currently commands a notable market share of 9.3% in India's electric three-wheeler market, with a dominant 55.1% share in the L5 EV category year-to-date in FY24.

In a span of eight months, MLMML notes that it has experienced remarkable growth, selling 40,000 electric vehicles. This, the company states, is due to the successful launch of two new products – the Treo Plus and the e-Alfa Super rickshaw and cargo variants. To meet the escalating demand for three-wheeler EVs, MLMML has tripled its production capacity, leveraging manufacturing plants in Bengaluru, Haridwar, and Zaheerabad.

MLMML's diverse range of three-wheeler EVs includes the Treo, Treo Plus, Treo Zor, Treo Yaari, Zor Grand, e-Alfa Super, and e-Alfa Cargo, catering to various mobility needs.

Suman Mishra, MD and CEO of MLMML, stated, “In FY24, our customer-centric approach has propelled our efforts to electrify last-mile transportation. Selling 40,000 e-3-wheelers within eight months underscores the inclusive income generation our EVs provide to drivers. We remain committed to enriching our customers' lives by consistently delivering innovative, value-for-money, and sustainable last-mile mobility solutions."
