Mahindra & Mahindra Limited has announced strong sales performance across its automotive divisions for November 2025, with the company reporting total automotive sales of 92,670 vehicles, marking a 19% year-on-year increase.

The Mumbai-based multinational's utility vehicle segment led the growth trajectory, with domestic SUV sales reaching 56,336 units, representing a 22% year-on-year increase. Including exports, total UV sales stood at 57,598 vehicles. Year-to-date domestic utility vehicle sales have reached 425,530 units, reflecting 18% growth over the previous fiscal year.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra's Automotive Division, highlighted the launch of the XEV 9S, described as India's first authentic Electric Origin 7-seater SUV, alongside a Formula E-themed special edition of the BE 6 SUV. The announcements coincided with the one-year anniversary of the company's Electric Origin SUV lineup.

Commercial vehicle sales demonstrated positive momentum, with domestic sales of 24,843 units reflecting 17% growth. The light commercial vehicle segment in the 2-3.5 tonne category showed particularly strong performance with 21,588 units sold, a 20% increase. Three-wheeler sales, including electric variants, reached 8,568 units, posting 7% growth with year-to-date sales at 74,908 units, up 28% over the previous year.

The trucks and buses division reported 2,232 vehicle sales for November, achieving 57% year-on-year growth. This segment includes both Mahindra Trucks & Buses Division (1,145 units, up 30%) and SML Mahindra Limited (1,087 units, up 102%). Passenger vehicle sales within this category surged 72% to 948 units, while cargo vehicles increased 48% to 1,284 units.

Vinod Sahay, Executive Chairman of SML and President of Aerospace, Defence, Trucks, Buses & CE at Mahindra, attributed the commercial vehicle recovery to improved customer sentiment and increased affordability following GST reductions.

Mahindra's automotive export performance remained steady with 2,923 units shipped during November, a 5% increase. Year-to-date exports stand at 27,241 vehicles, representing 30% growth over the previous fiscal year.
