Magenta Mobility, a prominent provider of electric mobility solutions, has announced the launch of its operations in Jaipur, Rajasthan. In the initial phase, the company plans to deploy 200 electric vehicles (EVs) in the city, with a target of expanding the fleet to 300 EVs by December 2024.

Jaipur, recognized for its growing role in the electric vehicle logistics market, offers an ideal location for Magenta's expansion due to its strategic importance and increasing demand for eco-friendly delivery solutions. The city is witnessing a rising trend toward EV adoption in sectors such as e-commerce, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and pharmaceuticals.

The launch was attended by representatives from the JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation (JITO JIIF) in Jaipur. As part of the expansion, Magenta will establish a new hub-and-spoke depot with parking capacity for 100 EVs, supported by its in-house developed 3.3 kW Penta chargers. The company also plans to recruit over 200 local delivery executives to manage operations. Through partnerships with companies like Shadowfax, Dmart, Porter, Garage, and Flipkart, Magenta aims to enhance mid- and last-mile delivery services across Jaipur.

Magenta Mobility’s Founder and CEO, Maxson Lewis, highlighted the significance of the company's entry into Jaipur, noting that it marks an important step in its efforts to promote urban logistics through electric mobility. He added that Jaipur would play a key role in Magenta’s growth strategy.

Currently, Magenta operates more than 2,500 EVs across 18 cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, facilitating over 100,000 deliveries per day and contributing to the reduction of 905 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
